To be effective, any training must address the needs of the trainee, but within every organisation there are different roles and requirements:-

• Senior management need to know how SPC can improve the company’ s profitability
• Production Management need to know how to integrate SPC within their own targets of efficient manufacturing.
• Quality Management need to know how best to implement an SPC programme - where to start - who to involve - how to measure effectiveness
• Production Engineers need to know what SPC is doing without necessarily having to understand the statistical intricacies.
• Process Operators need to know why and how data is collected, and if SPC is being used well, how to respond to information

A single course cannot possibly satisfy all these needs and yet most SPC courses are standard affairs which merely lead you through the data collection and chart plotting. Instead, I offer a range of courses.

The courses start from a non-mathematical understanding of what SPC is trying to achieve, through a comprehensive understanding of how it works and the benefits that have been gained to an executive summary pointing the way to efficient resource management and bottom line improvement.

What I don’t offer is a slavish obedience to the text books. Of course the principles need to be adhered to but every company is different and if SPC is to be applied as the practical tool that it is, then some degree of customisation is almost always required.

If on the other hand your requirement is simply the achievement of a client or generic standard, then I can show you how, but hopefully also get you some internal benefit out of it as well.

All courses can cater for up to 16 people and offer an optional test, certificates of attendance and relevant training notes as part of the standard cost.
